4th of July

This year we thought it'd be fun to have a "few" people over to our house for a "small" get-together. The small gathering evolved into a group of 20+adults and 20+kids... Combine that with body paint, a slip n slide, water balloons, and Mexican adult beverages (really, on the 4th of July, Gabe? ha) and you've got one wild party. The body paint was a huge hit with Drew, he could have a post just showing the progression of art work added to his little body. I look back and wonder why I let it get so out-of-hand, but he was truly content for hours just letting Abby Bonebrake use him as her little human canvas. I will have to add a picture at some point showing just how bad it really got.... Reese on the other hand, only allowed a small rocket on his forearm. He was too busy worrying about any and every water activity we had planned. I wish we had captured all the kids in one photo (and adults for that matter) that were there, it was a great group and so memorable and fun. And... We even had Uncle Tyson with us!

Only a small portion of the food that was consumed that night, check out those double dipped strawberries! Courtesy of Lorie Dennell ~ so so good and festive

So the body paint begins....

Drew, when he still looked like, well, Drew

Reese tearing it up on the slip n slide... If only I could post all the action shots of all the kids...

Drew, looking somewhat tribal as he begins his adventure with body paint
