Warm days

Today it's 70 degrees and sunny - finally Spring is here, and hopefully to stay. We have a full day planned to be outside, so we invited some friends over to play... Michelle and Whitney joined us with the their little guys for a while. They had a ball running around and chasing each other with golf clubs and baseball bats... Boys will be boys. Drew "toddled" around trying to keep up with everyone. I love this picture with Reese's hand on Drew's shoulder. From left to right - Adey, Reese, Drew, and John Cannella.

In other news, I left the boys (with someone besides Gabe) for the first time this past weekend. Gabe and I enjoyed a little getaway to see some friends in St. Augustine, FL. Both Grandma's came to stay and tackle the weekend with some one-on-one defense. All went very well, or so they told me, and everyone had a great time. Reese did pretty well, mostly just getting sad at night when it was bedtime. I did pretty well too - But I missed them so much and couldn't wait to see them Monday morning. It was a great Birthday present for me. : ) Thanks again, Grandma Ellen and Grandma Pat!!

Drew's 1st Birthday party

Drew celebrated with family and a few friends for his 1st Birthday on Saturday. It was a super fun afternoon and he held up pretty well considering all of the attention and excitement. He seemed to enjoy his cake this time, compared to his cake on Tuesday, eating a couple more bites. Mostly he just played with it. : )

Happy 1st Birthday, Drew!

Today is Drew's 1st Birthday... We had a fun and busy day! We started out with some presents and blueberry pancakes, followed by a trip to Potterybarn kids for story time (totally unplanned, but it worked out quite well), lunch at Paradise cafe, and finally home for naps and playtime. Tonight, as a family, we celebrated with some homemade pizza and cupcakes. Drew didn't know what to think of his cake debut, he mostly just played with it. We have a party planned for him this Saturday with some extended family, maybe he'll dig into his cake and actually eat it. : ) All in all, I think Drew had a fun time -- As did we all! Happy 1st Birthday, Drew! We love you so much!!
