Early Christmas present

Reese received his first Christmas present via UPS this weekend. Grandma and Grandpa Epp gave him a new toybox. It's very fancy ~ made of solid maple wood and even has his name engraved on the inside, as you can see. We love it and I'm sure Reese will enjoy it for many years to come...

Here are a few pictures from the past couple of months. It's pretty amazing how much babies change and grow in the first year. Every few days Reese is doing something new. He is now crawling like crazy and reaching for everything in sight. We are looking forward to the Holidays with him ~ Ann

Go Blue Jays

Reese's first sporting event... He was okay the first time we took him. The second game against Nebraska was a bit too loud which made him cry and scream. So I (mom) ended up spending most of the game socializing and eating out in the corridor ~

Halloween

We had so much fun with Reese on Halloween, the weather was great so we were able to make it to a few houses.

Unfortunately Reese out grew his pea-in-the-pod costume before he had a chance to show case it... I managed to get a few pictures of him though...

Sunday we went to a Halloween brunch and of course Reese was asleep so we didn't get him in costume ~ although his lounge wear resembled a candy cane so that worked. His cousin Luke was quite the sight with his cowboy gear...

Peek a boo!

Reese's new thing is to pull down his bumper to see outside of his crib... I guess he just doesn't want to miss anything! It's pretty darn funny!

Another attempt at solids

Today we tried some carrots because Reese doesn't want to take in any cereal... He took a bite or two ~ It's so fun to see his facial expressions! The other picture is just to give you an idea of how chubby Reese has become, he fills up the chair quite nicely!

Baby's best friend

Reese really loves to watch Fred and Fred is so good around Reese ~ the biggest problem is Fred's daily bark attack at the mailman which always seems to happen when Reese is trying to nap...

Baptism

Reese had his Baptism a week ago... There was quite the crowd of babies. He was one of 6 taking part in the ceremony. He was in a good mood and to my relief he didn't spit up in the Holy water or on Fr. Harry. We all know there was a very good chance of that happening...

After church we had some food and drinks at our house. Gabe, for the big event even purchased a small keg of Heineken Light ~ I know, I thought it was a little strange as well but I guess he really wanted to celebrate Reese becoming a Catholic...

First family vacation

We took our first trip as a family to Colorado ~ Reese did very well... He likes to be on the move so it made it fun to be out walking around and seeing the sights.

First chair

Just getting started...

Our good friends, Kevin and Sara created a blog to keep everyone posted on Stella's progress. I have so much fun reading it and seeing the pictures, I thought it might be fun for you all to keep up on Reese's progress as well. Kevin is much more creative and well-written than Gabe or I ~ but we'll try and keep it entertaining... We're getting started a little late, as Reese will be 12 weeks old this week. Better late than never...
